이 전시는 책이라는 매체와 인물의 관계를 중심으로, 각 인물이 지닌 서사와 시간의 궤적을 사진으로 풀어낸 초상 사진전이다. 책을 매개로 형성되는 인물의 맥락과 기억을 드러내며, 관람자가 이미지의 표면을 넘어 그 이면의 내러티브를 사유하도록 구성되었다.
전시 디자인에서는 ‘인물 초상’이라는 주제를 직관적으로 드러내기 위해 생성형 AI로 제작한 인물 실루엣을 핵심 그래픽 모티프로 활용했다. 디지털 기반 이미지와 대비되는 공간의 우드톤을 살리고자 핸드드로잉 텍스처를 적용해 아날로그적 포인트를 더했으며, 이를 통해 시간성과 물성을 동시에 환기하고자 했다. 키 비주얼에서는 실루엣을 원형 구조로 배치해 흐르는 시간의 개념을 시각화했다. 또한 초대장에 반사되는 실버 지류를 사용해 관객 자신의 모습이 비치도록 설계함으로써, 관람자 역시 하나의 ‘초상’이자 전시의 참여자가 되는 경험을 의도했다.
The exhibition explores the relationship between books and portraiture, capturing moments where personal narratives intersect with the presence of books. Featuring eleven portraits at Kyobo Art Space, it examines photography as a medium that preserves memory and layered time.
To visually represent the concept of a portrait photography exhibition, AI-generated human silhouettes were developed as the core graphic motif. Arranged in a circular composition, the silhouettes symbolize continuity, cycles, and the passage of time, forming a strong conceptual identity for the show. Hand-drawn textures were introduced to complement the warm wood tones of the space, creating a deliberate contrast between digital imagery and analog tactility. The invitation, printed on reflective silver paper, subtly mirrors the viewer—positioning the audience as participants within the exhibition narrative.
